Rooted in nature
Flowers blooming in a garden or meadow radiate with vitality. This is the essence we infuse into the florals we craft for you. Our approach is organic and profoundly creative, resulting in dreamy, romantic, and timeless arrangements.
We work in a peaceful barn up on the hills in South Oxfordshire, surrounded by nature's companions - hares, pheasants, and red deer. The panoramic views of fields and hills, making us feel integral to the landscape and intimately attuned to the shifting seasons.
My name is Nicola Roberton and Foxgloves & Roses is the culmination of a lifelong love affair with flowers that started as a small girl gathering wild blooms from hedgerows on my way home from school.
Dreaming of flowers
From a young age, I was also an artist. A dedicated observer of plants, flowers, and landscapes, I began sketching and painting with watercolours in my teens and continue today.
With a spirit brimming with a creativity, it comes as no surprise that, even during my thirteen years residing in London and working in bustling PR agencies, a subtle inner voice persistently urged me to pursue my dreams.
After moving with my family to a picturesque cottage in an Oxfordshire village, I embarked on a new and flower-filled chapter.
From tiny seeds
Getting my hands on a garden for the first time, I was inspired by Sarah Raven’s ‘The Cutting Garden’ and decided to ditch the lawn. I wanted my own cutting garden, borders bursting with real flowers I could pick by the armful and bring indoors to fill the house with colour and perfume.
I ended up growing so many types of flowers, that I had too many just for me, so I created bouquets and sold them at my garden gate. People loved them. Then, out of the blue, destiny stepped in – I was asked to create the florals for a wedding in the village. That was it, I’d found my calling and Foxgloves & Roses was born.

Now I run a blossoming floral design business from a hill-top barn, with a team of creative florists. We weave our floral magic to create dreamy weddings in Oxfordshire, and further, that are inspired by the gardens and landscapes of England.
Each of our weddings are one-of-a-kind because I'm a firm believer that your flowers should reflect your unique personality. Time and again, our clients fall in love with our exquisite florals, and value the thoughtful service that go along with them.
