Rooted in nature

Flowers in a garden or field are full of life. We bring this spirit to the floral arrangements we create for you. Our method is natural and highly creative, leading to beautiful, romantic, and timeless designs.

We work in a peaceful barn up on the hills in South Oxfordshire, surrounded by nature's companions - hares, pheasants, and red deer. The wide views of fields and hills make us feel connected to the land and aware of the changing seasons.

My name is Nicola Roberton, and Foxgloves & Roses stems from my lifelong love of flowers, which began as a child picking wildflowers from hedges on my way home from school.

Dreaming of flowers

I have been an artist since I was young. I closely observed plants, flowers, and landscapes, starting to sketch and paint with watercolors in my teens, which I still do today. Despite spending thirteen years in London working in busy PR agencies, I always felt a quiet call to follow my dreams. After moving with my family to a small cottage in an Oxfordshire village, I began a new and vibrant chapter.

From tiny seeds

The cottage garden was my first ever garden and I couldn’t wait to get started. For ages I’d dreamed of a cutting garden filled with blooms to pick and bring indoors for colour and fragrance, from spring to autumn. Armed with seed packets and a tumble down greenhouse, I set about making it happen.

I grew so many flowers that I had armfuls of extras. So I made them into bouquets and sold them at my garden gate. Then, unexpectedly, I was asked to create the flower arrangements for a country wedding in the village. That moment led to the start of Foxgloves & Roses.

Now I run a blossoming floral design business from a hill-top barn where we weave our floral magic to create dreamy weddings in Oxfordshire, and further.

Each of our weddings are one-of-a-kind because I'm a firm believer that flowers should reflect your unique personalities. Time and again, our clients fall in love with our exquisite florals, and value the thoughtful service that go along with them.
